The Daffy Mandocello is based on
the Stella-style 12-string guitar, which is a copy of the great Leadbelly's
guitar. It features a tailpiece, rope binding, slotted headstock and a 27
3/8" scale. The large sound chamber and larger scale length give a deep rich
sound, as this instrument is 'tuned down' a tone and a half, with the normal
E-strings being tuned to a C#. The Mandocello has the same body but may have
a 24.9" scale and thinner neck if required.
This instrument is also available
as a 12-string guitar. Please enquire.
